The workshop:

Competition and analytics session: This session will include a general introduction to Oxera, and the economic consulting sector. Based on a hands-on case study, we will illustrate how the economics toolkit, leveraging statistics and data science techniques, is applied in economic consulting and bring value to our clients in various fields, where projects are related to cartels, mergers and competition policy. Students will engage in solving questions encountered by our competition and analytics teams, based on real life cases.

Please bring a laptop to the event to ensure the most hands-on experience.

Finance and valuation session:

This session will include a general introduction to Oxera, and the economic consulting sector. Based on a hands-on case study, we will illustrate how corporate finance techniques are applied in economic consulting and bring value to our clients in various fields, including regulation, state aid and commercial disputes. Students will engage in solving questions commonly encountered by our Finance and Valuation team, based on real life projects. The workshop will address both conceptual and numerical problems, exploring various approaches to tackle these issues effectively.
